MVP! Thank you!
Thank you! 😉
Gutted for Dawid Godziek :(
You're doing god's work, Tetsuro.
Hey Red Bull Bike, congrats on the amazing event!!! Please bring back 'fan favourite prize' as we all want to give it to Tomas Lemoine for that insanity. ;-)
55:18 the best moment of the livestream
he came, saw, and sent. 🙌
DaMN THIS EVENT SO SICKKKKKK
@vliduu zeeb LMAO you're really outta touch.
Lemoine kinda got robbed I feel like with that kind of personally put into that run he deserved better
The judges put all that into consideration. Emil is in a league of his own. Lemoine and Bringer were close though.
In his final run there were 2 sightly off landings
.. if he'd nailed those it would have been tight I think. But who cares... He perfectly executed a rampage jump on a short travel hard tail! Best joyride moment ever!!!
@@FuzzyHippy Yeah, maybe the best Joyride moment ever. It's up there with the Claw's 360 now, but that was pre-Joyride. It will be just as iconic and deservedly so.
How he came 3rd???
@@kyleo1236 yeah but Emil, even though don’t get me wrong, it’s super impressive, but it’s kinda boring to watch because it’s just the same thing every time
By the way, Red Bull has the replay on its web site. The nice thing about the replay is that it has the little timeline below the screen with dots indicating where each rider's run starts in the video, for both Run 1 and 2. Easy to find riders you're interested in without having to scroll all over the place. Just passing that along.
EDIT: Or you can look for @Tetsuro Wada 's comment, where he has put together all the time-stamps for the YT video. Thank you, Tetsuro Wada!
time-stamps are added now ✌
@@RedBullBike So awesome, thank you!
ABSOLUTELY F'IN AWESOME! OMG WAS THAT A RUSH! The best slopestyle ever! So many moments, but the best for me was the most un-noticed. DH going up for practice on the chair lift. Slopestyle launches up to nearly the same height spinning and DH are screaming "YEAH GO BUDDY!" That sums up this sport! I wish the rest of the world was like Mountain Biking!
I love watching Rogatkin, he reminds me of Bode Miller. It seems like it's an all or nothing style of competing. 1st or DNF. Absolute unit.

If dawid would‘ve landed his run it wold be the best in slopestyle history
I love this competition. The respect between riders and how much they support each other is awesome.
Não sei como vai ser ano que veem sem uma grande empresa que nos trás tanta qualidade em seus eventos e transmissões, obrigado Red Bull TV
Red Bull Bike...👍🌐 🚲Whistler Slopestyle JoyRide 🚲🙂Many thanks for putting on another mind-blowing show of bike skills show manship excellent commentary with views of the village soaking up the vibes of a perfect day in Whistler
Well done to all the participants and here's to the next tour ♥️🌐👍🚲2022🚲🌐👍
SO GREAT TO SEE MAX PUT DOWN A SOLID RUN FOR HIS FIRST RUN! Saying this before I see his second where I hope he lays it all out!!
Poor Nicholi. He always brings such positivity to other riders and goes out and gives it his all. Always sucks to see him go down. I know he got 3rd at silverstar which is great, but hopefully he can find his groove again and stop beating the hell out of himself every event.
Yeah man he loves everyone God bless the guy, what a heart he has, always so happy for everyone
what a contest this one was some killer runs particularly 2nd half after that jump that was sending them to flat.
How i love MTB and how nice the rider are..Hi5ving the kids, giving autographs, smiling... No bs like some other sports superstars.
Damm that was sick congrats to all the contestants 😃
my mind goes kaboom when Lemoine gapped that massive feature!!!!!!!
Honestly watching Huppis progression has been awesome! That dude is just getting into his Form!
Godziek could have knocked Emil out of first, that would have been a very interesting second run
Bringer's second run was on a great trajectory as well
Thank you so much Red Bull Bike for this video💯🙏
Great and crazy contest again. Just wish Crankworx didn't post the winning run with the name in the title online before the rest of the world gets to see the replay!!!
Gutted for Godziek, he had such an electric run!
watching Emil’s rise and then now just dominating, like everyone predicted, is so cool.
Slopestyle seems like its in another golden age
It's mind blowing watching him for sure. But I do miss seeing Semenuk and Rheeder battle it out, then Rheeder and Rogatkin. I hope to see a few other riders start winning again, atleast once in a while.
@@24MPZ agreed, but im kinda enjoying that the other guys are forced to strive so hard
ive never really cared too much about who outright wins, but just seeing the level of progression Emil’s rise is bringing into the game is so fun
He's become dull to watch, though. He was Martin Söderström's protégé, and at times, it seems like he's taken Söderströmism to its logical conclusion. I am so ready to see him beaten fairly in competition.
@@markthorrowgood3266 Maybe district ride!!! Rogatkin has good history there :) member the 1440 or Godziek's Tsunami flip?!?! I can't wait!
@@masaharumorimoto4761 Rogatkin's having a shockingly bad year for mechanicals and wipeouts, though. Everybody knows he has what it takes, but he's just having a bad year. Godziek also surprised me, I thought he would be on the podium. Agreed on District Ride, though, it has an energy all of its own. So stoked to see it back at last.
I'm older than most but I really like watching the bike stuff, it has evolved so much since the 80's I wonder what it's gonna be like in the coming decades, I'm not sure where else it can go from here, but I'm sure there are young people right now dreaming up something cool 😊
That’s awesome you guys are so fun to watch but absolutely nuts no fear at all in your blood ! I would never I’d be shaking like a leaf!!!
I really enjoy all the different bike racing. Would like to see more of the bikes and more info of each bike. It is half the package. Thanks
Lemoines jumping that last feature was MENTAL! I absolutely love this event and I am so impressed by all the riders.
Give a 3rd run for Dawid 🤟
Kaganda ng lugar sa mga areh ah sarap sana manood ng garning event sa sports kagagaling magpatambling ng bike sayang malayo ang amin riverside California Philippines
Tomas... wow that gap jump at the end of your runs. 🤯🤯🔥🔥😲
A nice surprise for us on our 1st visit to Whistler
Much love to max❤️❤️❤️ making Calgary proud
I feel Lemoine deserved second place but oh well
Such a captivating upload.
Lets go Max L! Congrats on makin it to crankworx! Was totally surprised.
As a Belgian ,I struggle to understand your “ Scottish” but . Your definatly right and i like your tips and tricks
Missing my boy Brett Rheeder big time but man Emil is something else.
Godziek, Rogatkin 😢tinsaaaaaane
I feel very sorry for Dawid such a great run. Next time we'll see You on the box man🤟
Lamoine should have taken second place at the end Emil is epically amazing but he's a damn robot who the hell can compete against that
Dawid Godziek can, he can get as technical as Emil but also and unlike Emil he can do all the big flips and rotations that Rogatkin is doing. But without the variations Rogatkin isn't going to podium with these judges. Dawid just needs to finally put it all together at a Crankworx event like he did at RedBull Roof Ride.
@@24MPZ Dawid is not even near Emil's level.
Emil run was good with a lot of opposite tricks but I feel like Lemoine should have deserved the dub with his cash roll and the way he gaped that last jump was just sick
and doing it twice too, soo sick
Personally I agree about Lemoine. But I wonder what the judges would have done, if he also tricked the big gap. Even just something like a barspin or no-hander. I think it was crazy enough to give him the win as is, judges will be judges and focus on tricks & technicality though.
@@24MPZ when I saw him going for it on the 2nd run I was really hoping he was gonna go for a simpler trick like one of those. But you're right the shock factor of gapping it like that doesn't mean the overall points held up. Still so unforgettable tho was really rooting for him after that first run
Bro I’m so sick of Emil winning I miss when it was about going huge
And Lemoine gaped last jump on a hardtail bike, it's just insane.
Cam Mccaul?!? It's been so long! I remember watching you ride on Drop In nearly 20 years ago! Great seeing you still involved in the sport!
Los campiones nunca dejarán de a serlos como tú 💯💪💪💪
I’m just happy THAT NO ONE GOT HURT!!!!
Rogatkin always goes big or goes home, glad he wasn't injured!
Amazing show!
That windshield wiper trick is pretty sick.
Bringer & Lemoine are the best. Sad Godziek didn't make it.
41:19 .....that drop on a hardtail is insane!! should be drop of the year or something
DAVIDS FLAT BACKFLIP WAS CLEAN
Amazing!!!
Insane skills
does any of the other riders realize emil has a rear shock and i rode both tickets with and without and it helps big time when landing and not getting tossed on the landing on huge rotations. other riders need to run fully slopestyle bikes, i think it will help all around. that trek ticket is the king.
emil ...what a legend!
Lemoine sent full YEET!
Круто! Супер!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did anybody else noticed Yoann Barelli at 1:20:18 into the crowd doing Barelli things?
Epic!!
Una multitud 🎉 de personas espectadores 😮
This is insane.
Damn Neil. Big landing! Ouch. 😮
Emil is the best, Nicholi is most beautiful ride ever
Emil is so good plus all the judge loved him so much.
Good riding, man ! I have never been at 5th a d 4th section
Lemoine with the sends☝️🤯☝️
Lemoine 🤩
makes me wanna get a mtb and probably ride around on the street
The Chicago "Jelly" Bean crop job.
Wish we'd had black Adidas t-shirts back in the 70's ~ could have saved ourselves a fortune in body armor!!
Sounds good brotha I got the awe track exhaust on mine jlt Intake I managed to hit a 3.2 0-60 down here in FL bone stock
Tomas lemoine 2023 somersault over last jump would secure 1st place 🍄🌠🖖
Jakub Vencl respekt malo kdo tam dal doubleback a pak frono 🤟🤟🤟🤟💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I enjoyed the show but thought the judging was a bit off.
Congratulations all 🥳🎉
Jakub Vencl - great run. I feel sorry for Nicholi Rogatkin I really love his style, he is pushing the sport so much forward. Same for Tom Isted & Lemoine - the big air he did was/is legendary. But what Emil J. does is do technical that judges doesn't have any other chances than giving him gold. It is like in snowboarding when youn need to rotate 1260 and more but I'll would appreciate more dynamcailly executed rodeo 540 ect.
totally agree man, especially the snowboard comment
thats true but its usually a harder and more impressive trick which is why it wins. Trick combos or grab combos are hard to hit and a 1080 or 1260 is already so fast you can only really do 1 grab
would haver been nice to watch this live it would not work yesterday all other events.
When saw saw that last feature. I said “people are going to gap that”. I was wrong, only one crazy French person.
My riders republic brain: nice 720, monster backflip
Lemoine reminds me of a guy I used to ice climb with. That same cool demeanor and over the top confidence. It's actually a little creepy to be around people that confident. I guess that's what makes them Champions though.
Compared to other athletes, I feel that those prize checks are kind of low. For the amount of people that event brings in and the amount of people watching at home $25k for 1st doesn't seem enough even though Emil is racking up those checks.
Especially considering the risk factor
Just look at the sponsors of the top riders. Trek, red bull, fasthouse, ...??? For emil. They will be fine without that checks. Only if u compare it to smth like football, there will be a huge difference. But thats for nearly every sport.
@@Tom-15 How does someone being fine without large prizes justify small prizes? Makes no sense, prizes and sponsors are two different things.
@@sm-qw9mj that money should rather go into development of young talents or people that don't have a big sponsor. I bet these red bull athletes earn 1 mio+ anyways.
@@Tom-15 You seem pretty clueless. The things you mentioned and prize money are not mutually exclusive. Individual sponsors should not even be an argument in this discussion, they're not related to prizes in any way.
What sport out there has this level of sportsmanship and vibe?
Sorry, I really don't understand the scoring criteria. Didn't they say the judges have a list of tricks and their degrees of difficulty? Maybe they had nothing to guide them for how to score Lemoine's gap jump, or it didn't have the same degree of difficulty as other tricks done to finish runs? No idea. Definitely the single most memorable sequence of the whole event. Hopefully in the long run he'll get sponsors throwing cash at him as a result. Still, I'd guess he would prefer the win in the short run.
It was insane and the best part of the whole event. I think the judges are just more concerned with traditional slopestyle tricks and variations. Lemoine went full Rampage and it was awesome, but technically it was still just a straight air. I would have giving him the win though if it was up to me.
It's not a best trick contest.... Emil had harder tricks on every other obstacle.
More barspins = more wins basically. Forget the variation in tricks of Bringer or Tomas, just volume of small tricks. U dont even need to do a backflip
Starting to think they can send it pretty well
Yearning to see one of these in-person. However, they sell out quickly and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Can't seem to find out launch dates for tix sale. Help???
EMIL wins without going upside down ONCE. The front flip triple barspin was the trick or the day... If Emil starts going upside down and adding technical stuff he'll be the Tom Brady of MTB.
They were talking about how easy it was to overshoot that jump in practice.
2nd watch so far. There may be more! 😂🤘🏻
lemoine won best trick but Johanssons run was so much more technical, thats why he won best run.
Yes eight in a row for Emil breaking records
It's crazy that they actually named an event after Jacob and Julia Drawfee's cat
I wonder if they build their own sphere or if they got it from semenuk. The whole course reminds me of realm.
The sphere was directly based off realm as Semenuk's contribution to the course design, with the idea of mixing up the course rather than having straight trick jumps.
..i love this sport!!!..
Tommas should win this joyride
The shirt of lemoine is siiick😍 any chances it is available somewhere?
can someone explain Lemoine's final trick? what am i missing
i wish I could be there
It was insane, I no longer have a voice
Gotta c semenuk come bk for one more comp and go one on one w emil prob b the best bmx comp ever...c'mon mayng dont b light
